Beginning Sunday, 9/20/2009

*SUNDAY SCHOOL - SUN @ 9:50am - AFC
Fall Sunday School begins this Sunday - and it's going to be great! Middle School are studying the series: "Unlikely Heros" about how God has used ordinary people just like you. High School are studying a variety of topics including Who is God and mission stories throughout the world. Donuts will be provided!

*Special Church Music Event - Westobou Festival of Bells
4:00pm - Paine College Chapel. Come hear our church bell choir along with other bell choirs. Tickets are available at the door and at the church.

*SPECIAL SNF
To give you and your family the opportunity to participate in the Bell Fesival, we've bumped our schedule a bit for this Sunday. Middle School meets from 5:30-7:30, High School meets from 6:30-8:00. Our shared dinner and fellowship is from 6:30-7:30. Theme - "We are Family" - Dinner Hosts: Hagler

*TUESDAY PRAYER BREAKFAST - TUE @ 6:45am
Join us at Chick-Fil-A on Washington Road for Prayer and Chicken. Be prepared for a little change in our Tuesday Morning routine. The Late Edition at the AFC meets 1st and 3rd Tuesdays.

CANCELED - Confirmation Reunion Retreat
Sunday, September 19-20

Due to busy schedules we've had to regretably cancel our Confirmation Reunion Retreat. We hope to find a way to get us all together again soon.

NEW MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY
HIGH SCHOOL HOME GROUP STUDY
I'm very excited to announce that we're starting a mid-week Bible Study for High Schoolers. We'll be meeting Wednesday nights from 7:15pm-8:30pm at the home of Scott and Harriet Monnig. The first topic we'll be studying is the book, "Same Kind of Different as Me." by Ron Hall and Denver Moore. The book will be exploring the relationship between a "Rich Man" and a "Homeless Man." It is an amazing book. I especially want to see everyone who participated in the Mission Trip to join us for this study. We will start on Wednesday, October 7th.

Youth Ministry Committee
We are looking for a few new members to join the Youth Ministry Committee. We meet monthly as an advisory committee to guide and direct our youth ministry. This committee serves as an important partner with the Associate Pastor for Youth and Their Families. Please email Pastor Matt or Bette Wright (edsbw2000@yahoo.com) for more information.

Call me or send me an email or even a text - and lets go get a coke!

I can't make it to everything - but if you ask, I'll try. Last year I made it to plays, BBall games, Baseball games and even a Lacrosse match.

If you have a game, activity, recital, or whatever that I can attend, let me know! I want to see what's going on in your life - but I don't know unless you let me know.
